The AMCOP INTEGRAL Bio-Activator is a device primarily designed for orthopedic purposes, acting as a stabilizer for oral balance. It is equipped with all the necessary elements to support the proper function of the entire Dentocraniofacial system. This device is indicated for an orthopedic-osteopathic action for the therapy of occlusal curve alterations, such as anterior/lateral deep bites, and for the correct dental arches balance. It is also suitable for addressing muscle-tension issues, swallowing, breathing, snoring, and bruxism.
 

 

 
The AMCOP BASIC Bio-Activator is an arch harmonizing device specifically recommended for deep bites (deep-bite). It is indicated for the increase of vertical dimension and the remodeling of alveolar ridges, as it is equipped with a thickened occlusal plane in the anterior area.

The appliance is made from a blend of polymer and elastomer. The material is highly elastic, soft, and non-deformable. Additionally, it is thermoactive and adaptable to different types of arches. Any potential interference caused by the flange can be modified using heat-activated instruments. The appliance can also be expanded by immersing it in hot water at approximately 70°C for thirty seconds. To set the new shape, simply immerse it in cold water. Retouching or shortening can easily be done with rubber and a brush, and a flame gun can be used to add gloss. The materials are available in two different Shore hardness grades: 51 and 60. The choice of hardness depends on the specific operational needs of the clinical case.

Occlusion is a dynamic and continuous evolutionary process shaped by the neuro-vegetative mouth functions.
 
Scientific studies have proved that malocclusion is the cause of dysfunctional problems. The mouth and head position are a part of the general postural attitude; hence, every head misalignment provokes disharmonies and tensions in the neck muscles.
